Work collaboratively with district/central office staff to discuss the different areas that fall under the umbrella of student services and how each area is directly tied to meeting the LCAP state priorities. Includes conducting a needs assessment to prioritize services and establish a training calendar for the year, determining which board policies and procedures need revision, and providing a timeline with due dates for annual reports and plans to be legally compliant.

Timely and legally compliant interactive training on numerous hot topic areas in student services for board members, school and district personnel (classified and certificated), school safety officers, parents, and community partners. Each workshop is tailored to meet the specific needs of the audience while addressing the "Engagement" priorities of the LCAP: School Climate, Student Engagement, and Parent/Family Engagement.

Thorough and well-written board policies are necessary to ensure compliance with law and to establish the process and procedures that are followed by the school community. The review and revision of board policies include an assessment of current protocols and practices, as well as, an examination of relevant notices and forms.

Student services covers a wide range of distinct areas that can often seem daunting to a new director or a director with limited staff and resources. Coaching and support include unlimited emails, texts and phone calls, and up to 15 hours per month of a combination of the following: trainings, participation in meetings/events, data analysis, and/or review, development and revision of board policies, procedures, handbooks, notices, and forms.

Annual Notification to Parents and Students
Schools are mandated by law to provide specified notifications to parents and students at the beginning of each school year, and upon enrollment throughout the year. The service includes the revision of the existing notification, cross-referencing current board policies, a review of procedures discussed in the document, and guidance on records maintenance. The notification can be formatted and translated into Spanish, as well.
